TEXTILE CARE
Care is part of the beauty.

The textiles we love rarely remain perfect.
Linen softens. Towels are washed hundreds of times. Favourite clothes become familiar to the body. These changes are not something we believe need to be disguised.
They are signs of a home being lived in.
Thoughtful laundering can help the textiles you love remain part of your home for longer.
BEFORE WASHING
Always begin with the care label.
Separate colours where appropriate and treat stains promptly, following the textile manufacturer's recommendations.
Avoid overfilling your washing machine. Giving textiles room to move allows water and your wash to circulate more effectively.
USING YOUR LAUNDRY MINERAL WASH
For a standard 8–10kg load, add one Ode to Home wooden scoop, approximately 30g.
For smaller or lightly soiled loads, use half a scoop.
For heavily soiled fabrics or stubborn stains, pair with an appropriate enzyme detergent.
WASH WITH CARE
Where the textile allows, a considered wash cycle can reduce unnecessary stress on fibres.
Always choose the temperature, cycle and spin appropriate to the textile rather than relying on one setting for everything you own.
Natural and delicate fibres require particularly thoughtful care. Always follow their individual care instructions.
DRYING
Where appropriate, allow textiles to dry naturally and avoid unnecessary heat.
Reshape items while damp where required and ensure textiles are completely dry before storing.
STORING
Store clean textiles in a dry, well-ventilated place away from prolonged direct sunlight and moisture.
Allow linen space rather than compressing it tightly for long periods.
Most importantly, use the beautiful things.
The good linen does not need to wait for guests.
Care for what you keep.
